Stretchmarks happen when your skin is stretched to tearing point and it rips. The rip goes deeper than you can see, usually up to a centimetre down into the skin. To repair the tearing in that moment, skin produces excess knots of fibres to tie skin together which may feel knotty or thin, different to surrounding skin.
Dermapen4 breaks up the knots. Things are not as urgent so the new fibres are made in smooht, straighter lines.
