Sunburn
Sunburned skin needs water, water-binding ingredients, inclusions that reduce the nervous system response, plus loads of anti-oxidants to replenish the outer valency shell of each electron in the skin.
Over-exposure to UV radiation from the Sun causes several things to happen to skin, all of them dangers.
1. Damage to the molecules that make up all matter, including your skin. Every molecule is circled by orbits of electrons. UV Radiation causes 'oxidative stress' which is where one or more electrons is dis-connected from it's orbit. Your molecule will not accept this. It will go to the nearest molecule & steal an electron to replace what it lost. That molecule will then steal from her neighbor. This goes on and on, in a chain reaction called Oxidative Stress.
We reduce this by dosing skin with 'anti-oxidants'. Anti-oxidant product like Medi-Soothe Gel or serums should be used generously & regularly.
2. Loss of water. Water is used up as skin tries to calm itself. It needs hydration binding & hydration. Hydration Gels should have beta-glucan and advanced hydrators. Mere Aloe Vera doesn't cut it.
3. Itching! Sunburn can itch as it heals. Zinc will help that. This is found in our SPF, and you may be surprised to know our SPF can be used as a Post-Sun solution.
